What You Will Do:

TheĀ GMSĀ Cost EstimatorĀ assemblesĀ andĀ analyzesĀ dataĀ to forecastĀ profit and lossĀ related to healthcareĀ servicesĀ ,Ā projects,Ā or operational changesĀ aiding financial planning and decision-making. Key responsibilities include cost analysis and forecasting, collaboration with stakeholders, cost management, and ensuring complianceĀ with corporate policies, regulations, and statutes. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance, accounting, engineering, or business), strong analytical and technical skills, experience in healthcare cost estimation, and preferred professional certifications such as CCP or CEP.Ā 

Responsibilities and Duties:Ā Ā 

  • Data Analysis and Cost Forecasting: AnalyzingĀ availableĀ documentation to understand scope,Ā identifyingĀ cost-influencing factors, and using historical data, trends, and research forĀ accurateĀ projections.Ā 

  • Collaboration and Communication: Working with project teams and stakeholders, managing bids from vendors, and presenting detailed costĀ modelsĀ and analyses to management and clients.Ā 

  • Cost Management and Optimization: Evaluating cost alternatives andĀ identifyingĀ cost-saving opportunities.Ā 

  • Compliance and Documentation: Assisting with regulatory compliance, including cost transparency requirements, andĀ maintainingĀ cost databases and documentation.  

  • Other Duties as Assigned:Ā Additional and separate responsibilities may be assigned asĀ appropriate.Ā 


What You Will Need:

  • Requires a University Degree and minimum 6-8 years of prior relevant experience; some roles may require graduate-level education Master’s or Doctorate degree (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Ā 

  • 6 years in cost estimation techniques, modeling, and financial analysis, advanced Excel knowledge, and familiarity with industry software and databases.Ā 

  • Healthcare revenue cycle knowledge

  • Experience with revenue cycle managed services or advisory services

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills for teamwork and meeting deadlines.

What Would be Nice to Have:

  • A degreeĀ in finance, accounting, engineering, or business administration isĀ preferred.Ā 

  • Certifications:Ā Professional certifications like Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) from the Association for the Advancement of Cost Estimating (AACE International) are preferred.Ā 

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
