PV & BESS – ENTRY LEVEL

Location: Eden Prairie, MN | Hybrid
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary Range: $70,000 – $73,000

Now, we’re looking for a PV & BESS Engineer – Entry Level who is ready to learn, grow, and contribute to solar and battery storage projects that power a more sustainable future.

This isn’t just a drafting role. You’ll gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, PV Case, and SAM, collaborate with senior engineers, and take on real design challenges—from redlining and layout optimization to preparing plan sets that drive renewable projects forward. Along the way, you’ll receive mentorship, structured training, and opportunities to build a career in renewable energy engineering with clear advancement paths.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Translate project requirements, site constraints, and PV/BESS equipment layouts into clear CAD drawings.
  • Support plan set development and layout adjustments while maintaining EVS standards.
  • Utilize PV Case and SAM for solar string sizing and layout optimization.
  • Revise drawings based on redline markups with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform peer reviews and double-check work to ensure drafting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to support active projects and contribute to solutions.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and project reviews to continuously improve.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in drafting, design, or PV/BESS engineering support.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel (or strong willingness to learn).
  • Understanding of basic engineering principles related to PV/BESS layout and electrical design.
  • Exposure to PV Case, SAM, or Bluebeam (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to grow professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
