UPMC Hamot is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support variable day and evening shifts with occasional nights; every third weekend and rotating holidays required. Preferred candidates bring acute care hospital experience, familiarity with EPIC EHR, and strong clinical communication and problem-solving skills.

In this role, there is opportunity to:

• Interpret and evaluate physician orders and prescriptions accurately
• Identify and report adverse drug reactions in a timely manner
• Sustain formulary integrity via therapeutic interchange and rational drug use
• Review patient medication profiles for allergies, interactions, and duplications
• Organize daily operations and support pharmacy staff supervision
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify medication orders
• Provide drug information and educational sessions to staff and students
• Utilize EPIC and other systems to document and verify medication use
• Prepare and dispense intravenous admixtures using aseptic techniques
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards

Required

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy
• B.S in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Current licensure as a Pharmacist in practicing state
