👨⚕️ In Your Role
You will provide comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of urological conditions. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments, including history and physical exams
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies
- Developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the urologist
- Assisting in preoperative and postoperative care for urological procedures and surgeries
- Educating patients on urological health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
- Prescribing medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation that meets regulatory standards
🧠 Conditions Treated Include:
- Bladder cancer
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
- Erectile dysfunction
- Kidney cancer
- Kidney stones
- Low testosterone
- Infertility
- Prostate cancer
- Urinary incontinence
✅ Qualifications
Education:
- Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)
Requirements:
- Meet comprehensive and professional standards
- Hold a current, valid medical license in the state of Virginia (or be eligible to obtain one)
- Possess a valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
