This role supports physicians in both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic procedures, providing direct and indirect patient care. The Technician assists with fracture reductions, hardware removals, traction applications, dressing changes, and the fitting and education of patients on orthopedic braces and devices. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and continuity of care across the orthopedic service line. The Orthopedic Clinic Technician will apply and remove immobilization devices, assist with surgery and procedure scheduling, and ensure that all pre-surgical requirements such as testing, prior authorizations, and coordination are completed accurately. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and a patient-focused approach to care. Attendance at staff meetings and a commitment to ongoing education are required to maintain clinical competency and contribute to team success.
