Position Summary:
The Social Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of social services within the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, values, vision, and goals. This leadership role includes administrative oversight, staff supervision, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the social services team, including the Social Worker, Recreation Therapist, and Clinical Assessment Coordinator.

  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and facilitate professional development programs.

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., DNV).

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of social services delivered on the BHU.

  • Perform audits to ensure adherence to social work standards and best practices.

  • Coordinate referral and inquiry development processes.

  • Provide clinical assessments for current and potential clients.

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including assessment, treatment planning, group and individual therapy, family therapy, discharge planning, insurance reviews, and aftercare coordination.

  • Collaborate effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

  • Participate in community outreach and maintain positive relationships with external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with demonstrated leadership or management experience.

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required.

  • Licensure/Certifications:

    • Current Montana LCSW license required

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
