JOB DESCRIPTION

SHIFT: 2nd shift

PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs measurement system studies for all component and assembly gages. Completes calculations and communicate the results to the Quality Engineer (QE).
  • Performs Capability Studies for all component and assembly special characteristics. Communicates the results to the QE.
  • Prepares necessary Customer documents as directed (e.g.: 1st Piece checks, JSU, GP11, FE3, AARs, PSWs, and Lab PPAP packages) for all products/processes. Reviews the documents with the QE for final approval.
  • Performs component inspection as directed by the QE. (CMM Request form)
  • Assists in the quality resolution of suspect material including quarantine documentation for Cage. Supplier Issue Notification Form (SNIF) and Part Leaving/Returning to Production (PLRP) forms.
  • Develops reports and charts for use during product builds and communicate the results to the QE.
  • Fills out and trains team members on new Quality Alerts.
  • Performs eLPA audits as required.
  • Responds to Quality calls on manufacturing and support resolution to quality concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or applicable, leadership position.
  • Has authority to instruct the production operations team to stop production if quality of product does not meet specifications, following escalation procedures.
  • Completes all required and applicable training by Adient and its customers.
