Eligible employees must complete all applicable enrollments within the required timeframes for coverage effective on date of hire.   Purpose: Research, plans, and designs mechanical products and systems, and directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical products and systems by performing the following duties.   Job Responsibilities: Represent the company’s core values of being committed, action oriented, and sustainable. Work in a safe and healthy manner, adhering to all safety rules and practices Provide leadership to group to ensure that Company safety goals are met. Develop and implement reliability strategies for aluminum rolling mill assets and annealing ovens: to include hot and cold mill stands, coilers, uncoilers, drives, gearboxes, roll cooling systems, heat exchangers, hydraulics, lubrication systems, and automation. Support roll shop reliability efforts - including roll change practices, surface quality issues, and roll life optimization. Work with and help coordinate/manage work, identify work/projects in the Annealing departments Provide reliability input for Capital Projects, mill upgrades, and new equipment installations, including lifecycle cost analysis Create, coordinate and manage Capital Projects Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures impacting safety, downtime, yield, or product quality (e.g., strip breaks, chatter, roll damage, heat exchanger failures, door seal failures, etc.). Optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance (PdM) programs plantwide with emphasis on aluminum-specific failure modes such as lubrication degradation, bearing failures, roll wear, and hydraulic contamination. Help drive work from time-based maintenance to condition based maintenance Analyze equipment performance data using KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and downtime loss by cause. Partner with operations to improve equipment operating practices, startup/shutdown reliability, and process stability. Define critical spares strategies for equipment to minimize downtime risk. Use CMMS data to improve work quality, job plans, and maintenance execution. Coach and mentor maintenance and operations personnel on reliability best practices. Provide documentation and assist Planners in the creation and development of planned maintenance (PM) for new and existing equipment Assist in the review and evaluation of proposed new equipment - take into account/engineer for Reliability and Maintainability of system designs and equipment. Develop engineering studies and reports as required. Provide assistance to production and maintenance as required. Work with outside vendors and representatives as required. Travel to vendors both in country and internationally. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning related technical issues. Other related duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications: Bachelors of Science degree in the field of engineering from an accredited four-year college or university At least 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial environment installing and or maintaining manufacturing equipment Preferred – CMRP.  Training and or certification in vibration analysis, oil analysis/lubrication, thermography, ultrasonic inspection/lubrication and motor circuit evaluation/analysis Proven experience conducting RCA, FMEA, and condition monitoring activities Preferred - Experience in an aluminum rolling mill, aluminum processing facility, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment, experience with aluminum hot mill or cold mill operations.  Familiarity with aluminum-specific quality and process challenges (surface defects, chatter, gauge control impacts). Some experience with mill automation, drives, and PLC-controlled systems. Lean or continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, lubrication systems, and mechanical drive systems. Experience with CMMS systems and reliability analysis tools. Must be hands on and work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams Must be self-motivated and able to work flexible hours Must be able to troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently Excellent computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Products Need be proficient with AutoCad/CAD Design Software and Project Management Software Strong problem solving skills Self-starter who requires little supervision or direction Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations and maintenance teams.   Gränges Americas is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
