Job DetailsJob Location: Anderson Powersports South - Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403Master Powersports Off-Road Technician Department: Service Reports To: Service Manager / Service Director Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary Anderson Powersports is seeking a Master Powersports Off-Road Technician to join our growing service department. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who takes pride in their craft, enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, and wants to be part of a professional, high-performing shop environment. We are currently preparing for the expansion of our new 18-bay service facility, and we are looking for technicians who want to grow with us and help build one of the strongest powersports service departments in the region. The Master Technician serves as a technical leader within the shop, performing advanced diagnostics and repairs while assisting other technicians with complex issues. This position requires expert-level mechanical knowledge, strong diagnostic ability, and a commitment to quality workmanship and team success. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on off-road powersports vehicles including ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides Perform advanced troubleshooting on engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, fuel systems, and electrical systems Complete engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, and performance upgrades Utilize manufacturer diagnostic tools and service manuals to accurately identify and resolve issues Assist and mentor other technicians with difficult diagnostics and repairs Conduct final quality inspections on completed repairs to ensure safety, reliability, and proper operation Accurately document diagnostics, labor times, parts used, and service notes within the service management system Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs, timelines, and parts requirements Stay current with manufacturer service bulletins, new models, and evolving technologies Assist with warranty diagnostics and documentation according to manufacturer guidelines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Performance Expectations This position is designed for a technician who can operate at a high level of production while maintaining excellent repair quality. Technicians are expected to: Maintain strong productivity and efficiency Complete repairs within manufacturer labor time guidelines whenever possible Maintain a high first-time fix rate with minimal comebacks Support shop productivity by assisting other technicians with advanced diagnostics A qualified and capable technician can expect the opportunity to produce 200+ labor hours per month. Required Qualifications 5+ years experience as a powersports technician or similar mechanical role Expert knowledge of ATV, UTV, dirt bike, and side-by-side systems Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Experience performing engine, drivetrain, electrical, and suspension repairs Ability to read and interpret service manuals and wiring diagrams Proficiency using diagnostic scanners and manufacturer software Valid driver’s license Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a professional shop environment Preferred Qualifications Manufacturer certifications such as Polaris, Can-Am, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, or KTM Master-level technician certification or equivalent experience Experience with performance modifications and aftermarket installations Welding or fabrication experience Leadership or mentoring experience within a shop environment Key Skills Advanced mechanical diagnostics Electrical system troubleshooting Precision engine repair and rebuilds Technical leadership and mentoring Strong attention to detail and quality control Effective time management and productivity Shop Resources Technicians at Anderson Powersports are supported with: OEM diagnostic software and manufacturer service information Hydraulic lifts and specialty service equipment Strong parts department support Organized repair order workflow and scheduling Ongoing manufacturer training opportunities Tools Technicians are expected to provide their own standard hand tools. Specialty tools and manufacturer diagnostic equipment are provided by the dealership.
