Summary Statement:

The Assistant Model Bartender is responsible for assisting Model Bartenders in all operational duties. This position is key in ensuring guests have a satisfactory experience by maintaining clean bars and keeping the bar stocked with supplies. The Model Barback helps in marketing the nightclub, restaurant, lounge, pool and other services by offering a targeted guest base while focusing on the development of a personal clientele list. The ideal candidate always works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Greet, interact, entertain and serve guests courteously and in a timely manner.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to all guest inquiries, requests, directions and information.
  • Assist the Bartender by obtaining food and beverage orders from guests, organizing and prioritizing service per appropriate service sequence. Ensure that all orders are correct, properly presented and that special requests have been met.
  • Follow drink recipes when dispensing drinks and garnish beverages as needed per company standards and recipes.
  • Stock and setup/breakdown bar area daily.
  • Up sell guests by suggestively selling menu items, specials and beverages.
  • Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business.
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during your shift.
  • Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated and alert Manager of disruptive guests. Refuse further service of alcohol to overly intoxicated guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner.
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws. Ensure that guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
  • Report any incidents of theft, vandalism or violations to management.
  • Participate in in-house modeling programs, special casino events, banquet service functions, marketing campaigns and advertising by performing model/presenter tasks.
  • Maintain social platforms as indicated by management; post events, communications and participate in marketing campaigns via social media.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, beer and mixed cocktails.
  • Previous experience modeling and presenting beverages.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.

Preferred: 

  • Previous experience working in a nightclub or day club.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least six months of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, nightclub or similar or related field.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position required licenses
