JOB SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible, and the point of contact for engineering design and release documents including engineering change orders (ECO), drawing releases, bill of materials (BOMs), procedures, workflows and work instructions. You will be a critical part of our global engineering team.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bill of Material (BOM) entry and maintenance of product configurations and Item Masters in the ERP system and release from the PLM system (Siemens Teamcenter).
  • Participates as a review member for Change Control Boards to ensure compliance and adherence to engineering change policies and procedures.
  • Coordination of change activities with CAD and Product Engineering in the Change Management process including global change request.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate document workflows, resolve issues, and ensure consistency in documentation practices.
  • Manage and maintain technical engineering documentation in accordance with company or customer requirements.
  • Ensures all existing processes are fully documented, suggesting improvements, updating documentation, and communicating all process changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Train and mentor others on processes and standards.
  • Prepare reports for engineering performance to baseline metrics.
  • Provide research assistance for historical records and data queries using tools such as Power BI.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • A.A.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Design or related field and 5 years of equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with creating BOM structures and creating configurations in an ERP (JD Edwards) environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation related to BOM structures, assembly and part drawings.
  • Familiarity with a PLM system for document release and control. Siemens Teamcenter preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and engineering documentation practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Change Order methodology
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks and assignments with minimal supervision individually or within a team.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Demonstrated decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a strong desire to perform in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (<5%).
