Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Tactical Patrol in Bunn, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support access control, and assist staff and visitors with a customer-service mindset. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies for a government correctional location, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed patrols on foot and/or in a vehicle throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain logs and reports, and assist with key and equipment control per site policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public agency responders as directed.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential policy violations, and security-related concerns, and complete detailed written documentation per post requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
