Aqua Finance is seeking a Business Intelligence Reporting Intern to support the development and enhancement of data reporting and analytics solutions. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with Power BI, SSRS, and SQL to build dashboards and reports, support data source transitions, and help automate monthly reporting processes in partnership with the FP&A team. This internship offers meaningful, project-based experience for students interested in data analytics, business intelligence, and transforming data into actionable insights. 

 

Essential Functions  

  • Contribute to a reporting development project by building Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports using SQL to support business decision-making 

  • Participate in a data migration project to transition existing SSRS management reports from current Snowflake data sources to the Snowflake Common data tables 

  • Collaborate on a reporting automation project with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to develop Power BI and SSRS reports that streamline monthly reporting processes 

 

Technical Skills 

  • Apply and strengthen SQL coding skills through real-world reporting and data validation 

  • Develop Power BI and SSRS reporting skills by creating dashboards and management reports used by the business 

  • Gain exposure to Snowflake and modern data architecture as part of a data transition project (prior experience helpful but not required) 

  • Build professional communication and collaboration skills by working cross-functionally with FP&A and analytics teams 

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Currently enrolled at a University or College at a minimum of Junior Undergraduate Status 

  • Pursuing a degree in business intelligence, data analytics, information systems, business, finance, computer science, or a related field 

  • Completion of relevant coursework related to your field of study prior to the start of the internship 

  • Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills 

  • Internship will run from mid-May through mid-August 

  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during the internship period 

  • Availability to participate for at least 9 weeks of the 12-week program 

  • This is an onsite internship; interns will be required to work at our corporate location in Wausau, WI for the duration of the internship.

This is primarily an office-based position with a significant portion of the work performed at a computer.
