GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Fiscal Coordinator is responsible for the reconciliation of reimbursement requests received from Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) participating in the State 911 Department鈥檚 grant programs.Day to day responsibilities may include reconciling reimbursement requests in compliance with grant guidelines, working within the accounting system (Mosaic), encumbrance management, processing of payments to and interfacing with PSAPs and municipal staff when necessary, providing input on grant guidelines, and assisting the Finance Director, fiscal managers/supervisors, and/or other Department managers with other fiscal matters as needed, including but not limited to accounts receivable and fixed asset management.

Please note: This is an in-office position.

DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate with fiscal staff members to implement and reconcile documentation submitted under the Department鈥檚 grant programs.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Review and reconciliation of reimbursement/disbursement submissions.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate with PSAP and/or municipal staff to reconcile discrepancies, as needed.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Recommend payment of reimbursements in compliance with grant guidelines.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide recommendations on grant guidelines based upon feedback received from PSAPs and lessons learned during current grant cycle to enhance processes and performance.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinate with fiscal staff to support and enhance day-to-day operations.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provides support and training to PSAP staff and other municipal employees on the Department鈥檚 grant programs, to include but not limited to, presenting materials during virtual workshops.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with daily receipt, deposit and spreadsheet tracking of revenues, as needed.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with recording and management of Departmental fixed assets, as needed.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Using reports from the Comptroller/ANF and Mosaic to reconcile accounts and ensure compliance under state law and internal controls.

聽聽聽聽聽 Data entry of accounting system transactions, as needed, for authorized signatory鈥檚 approval.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in accounting or auditing, of which at least (B) two years must have been in a supervisory, administrative or managerial capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.聽

Substitutions:聽

I. An Associate's degree with a major in accounting, business administration or business management may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*聽

II. A Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, business administration or business management may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*聽

III. A Graduate degree with a major in accounting, business administration or business management may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience and one year of the required (B) experience.*聽

*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.聽

NOTE: Educational substitutions will only be permitted for a maximum of one year of the required (B) experience.聽
