What do we need?

The Multi-Age Teacher collaborates with Lead Teachers to create a nurturing, supportive classroom environment grounded in trauma-informed care principles. In this full-time role, you will foster the academic and social development of preschool-aged children and support their families at the Center of Excellence Child Development Center.


Responsibilities

  • Encourages children’s social, academic, and developmental skills
  • Welcomes, talks, and meets with parents as needed
  • Observes and reports on the well-being of children
  • Maintains a clean classroom by organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing daily
  • Participates in classroom planning and facilitation of age-appropriate curriculum
  • Builds on the trauma-informed framework developed in the classrooms
  • Implements sensory integration in the classroom in collaboration with the lead teacher

Pay and Benefits

  • $25.00/hour
  • Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Training shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency required. 2 year degree or CDA preferred
  • 2,080 hours as an aide or student intern in a licensed Child Care Program
  • 12 quarter credits relating to Child Development
  • First Aid and CPR certified or willing to be certified within first 90 days of work
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
