PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Lift Maintenance Electronics Technicianis responsible for performing general maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on all Deer Valley lifts and conveyor systems, with a specialized focus on electrical and electronic control systems. This includes work on PLCs, circuit boards, low-voltage systems, DC and AC drive systems, and electrically-driven conveyor belts.Â

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
Perform daily startup procedures and periodic inspections of lifts and conveyors in both winter and summerÂ
Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical systems, PLCs, circuit boards, DC and AC drive systems and control panels on aerial lifts and conveyorsÂ
Assist in in-service and after-hours mechanical and electrical repairsÂ
Troubleshoot and service low-voltage control systems and motor drivesÂ
Participate in safety and technical training, particularly in electrical safety and control systemsÂ
Maintain clean, organized workspaces and properly store tools and test equipmentÂ
Participate in daily morning briefings with the maintenance teamÂ
Ensure timely and accurate completion of records, including maintenance logs, repair documentation, and fault reportsÂ
Conduct routine mechanical and electrical inspections and system diagnosticsÂ
Collaborate with other departments within Mountain Operations and the Resort as neededÂ
Support seasonal projects and assist in the installation or upgrading of lift electronics and conveyor componentsÂ
Be willing to help out with any mechanical work as needed.Â

QUALIFICATIONS: Â
At least 18 years oldÂ
Provide personal hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic toolsÂ
Experience with PLCs, relay logic, circuit board troubleshooting, DC and AC drive systems and low-voltage systemsÂ
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsÂ
Comfortable working with conveyor systems, including electrical controls and drive motorsÂ
Ability to climb lift terminal stairs and tower laddersÂ
Ability to lift and position components weighing 50 pounds or more in mountainous terrainÂ
Strong skiing ability and comfort navigating resort terrainÂ
Ability to work in extreme weather and at heightsÂ
Accepts direction and instruction readily and works well with othersÂ
Maintains a positive and guest-focused attitude at all timesÂ
Â
BASIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:Â
Lift operation, theory, and maintenance practicesÂ
Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, AC/DC circuits, and power suppliesÂ
Proficient with DMMs and other electrical testing equipmentÂ
Familiar with PLC systems, including programming basics and diagnostics (highly preferred)Â
Working knowledge of conveyor belt electrical systemsÂ
Mechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic system knowledgeÂ
Safe use of snowmobiles and resort maintenance equipmentÂ
Understanding of ANSI B77.1 regulations and safety protocolsÂ
Ability to follow technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsÂ
