Maintenance Technician

Description

St. Thérèse Catholic Church is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to serve our parish and school community.  This position is responsible for the effective, efficient and safe maintenance, renovation and upkeep of parish and/or school buildings and grounds.

Essential Duties 

   • Maintain mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and grounds.

   • Conduct preventative maintenance, safety, and energy conservation audits.

   • Oversee part time maintenance and seasonal grounds employees and outside contractors.

   • Perform preventative maintenance, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and snow removal.

   • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

   ? Build collaborative relationships with employees and outside contractors.

   ? Demonstrate efficient and effective organizational skills.

   ? Work independently with confidence, and minimal managerial oversight.

   ? Manage projects on time and within budget parameters. 

   ? Understand and read technical information.

 Qualifications 

   § Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferable with exposure to new and old technology and multiple systems.

   § Strong understanding of general maintenance practices.

   § Able to walk/stand throughout the day, lift over 50 pounds.  

   § Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
