Math/Science - Teaching subject areas could include foundational and advanced mathematics and general science concepts, with instruction in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and scientific principles such as life science, physical science, and earth science, emphasizing logical reasoning and problem-solving and fostering an appreciation for the order and design evident in creation.

Teach Lessons
Prepare, deliver, and assess highly effective lessons, using the Abeka curriculum to provide students a Christ-centered, traditional education. Ensure students understand and retain concepts, by actively engaging them in the learning process. Provide positive feedback to students to encourage excitement to learn. Maintain accurate records.
Invest in Students
Foster a supportive, structured, well-managed culture of excellence, conducive to academic, social, and spiritual development. Train students to adjust to the classroom setting, to respect authority, and to be kind. Maintain an inviting, clean, motivating classroom through bulletin boards and other decorations.
Communicate with Parents and Principal
Communicate with parents regarding student behavior, goals, progress, and suggestions for improvement at school and/or reinforcements at home. Conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings as scheduled. Assist individual students as needed to encourage progress. Keep Principal informed and seek Director's guidance to achieve objectives.
Assist Other Areas
Perform assigned duties, such as teaching help classes, sponsoring clubs and classes, overseeing study hall, and chaperoning home sports contests and other secondary events. Monitor student behavior in a variety of school settings to provide a safe and positive environment. Mentor TAs assigned to the classroom. Attend faculty meetings and teacher conferences.
