Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.


 

Shift Differentials

  • 3rd Shift: $2.25/hour
  • Weekend: $1.75/hour

 

Sign-On Bonus Eligible!

  • $2,000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.
  • Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Welcome to the Surgical Acute Department! As a dynamic 63-bed post-surgical unit specializing in the care of post-op and trauma patients, we embody a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Our dedicated staff is known for their willingness to step in and support one another whenever needed. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Nursing Assistant in our department, you'll play a vital role in completing essential tasks such as vitals monitoring, drain care, hygiene assistance, and engaging patients in various activities. We take pride in fostering an excellent learning environment, making our department an ideal setting for individuals aspiring to build a rewarding career in the healthcare field. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
  • CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED Experience
  • Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
  • Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
