Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Shift Differentials
- 3rd Shift: $2.25/hour
- Weekend: $1.75/hour

Sign-On Bonus Eligible!
- $2,000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.
- Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Welcome to the Surgical Acute Department! As a dynamic 63-bed post-surgical unit specializing in the care of post-op and trauma patients, we embody a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Our dedicated staff is known for their willingness to step in and support one another whenever needed. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Nursing Assistant in our department, you'll play a vital role in completing essential tasks such as vitals monitoring, drain care, hygiene assistance, and engaging patients in various activities. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED Experience
- Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
