KBR is recognized as Honeywell’s #1 rated vendor, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in the aerospace sector. This is a part-time, on-call Quality Management System (QMS) Auditor position. The auditor will perform 2nd party audits of suppliers on behalf of our customers to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other quality standards. Travel, often out of state, is required and compensated. Work assignments are scheduled based on availability and audit timelines. Roles and Responsibilities include performing on-site QMS audits of customer suppliers and/or assisting customers with internal QMS audits, completing and submitting audit reports including documentation of nonconformances, issuing Corrective Action Requests (CARs) through customer electronic systems, following up and completing assigned actions related to issued CARs, participating in internal and customer-required training programs, coordinating audit scheduling with suppliers, and performing other duties as assigned. Basic qualifications include an undergraduate degree with 2+ years of quality/industry experience or equivalent experience in lieu of degree, current QMS or Aerospace auditor accreditation from a recognized body (e.g., Exemplar, IRCA, Probitas), formal training in the current AS9100 revision in lieu of accreditation, experience performing on-site QMS audits and completing associated documentation, familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), and ability and willingness to travel including overnight and out-of-state assignments. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with audits aligned to the AS9100 standard, strong communication and documentation skills, and being self-directed with the ability to manage audit timelines and travel logistics.
