Physical Therapy - Outpatient

Under the general supervision of the department Supervisor in Rehabilitation Services and according to established policies and procedures, the Staff Physical Therapist will: 

conduct patient initial evaluation, reassessments, and discharge summary for all populations served; administer patient treatment based upon evaluation and/or reassessment; complete required documentation in a timely fashion; maintain productivity at departmental standard; delegate tasks appropriately to personnel; participate in the case management of patients’/clients’ rehabilitation services; perform non-clinical tasks and demonstrate work habits to support effective daily operations; participate in one to two departmental, hospital, and/or community programs/meetings; and teach, orient, train, supervise and mentor co-workers, new employees, volunteers, observers, and a minimum of one student annually.

  • B.S./Masters/DPT degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required.
  • Current Physical Therapist license for state of Ohio required.
  • Requires effective communication skills and the ability to problem solve, plan, and prioritize.  Displays flexibility.
  • Duties require independent judgment and decision-making, and maintenance of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates acceptable work performance by exhibiting a positive and constructive attitude, initiative, dependability, cooperation, and skill in verbal and written expression.
  • Abides by the Code of Ethical Conduct as defined by the Code of Ethics by the APTA.
  • CPR certification within six months of employment.
