What You Can Expect:
Process Analysis and Optimization:
- Conduct detailed analysis of current warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Design and implement streamlined workflows that maximize resource utilization and minimize waste.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and analyze operational data, such as cycle times, throughput, inventory levels, and order accuracy, to identify trends and performance metrics.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommend process improvements.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational excellence.
- Lead Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, and other improvement methodologies to drive tangible results.
Layout and Facility Design:
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to enhance storage capacity, material flow, and accessibility.
- Recommend improvements to racking systems, shelving, and equipment placement to support efficient operations.
Technology Integration:
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions such as warehouse management systems (WMS), automated picking systems, and data capture technologies to improve overall warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of chosen technologies.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
- Develop and document standardized operating procedures that ensure consistency, accuracy, and safety in warehouse processes.
- Train and educate warehouse staff on new procedures and best practices
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineer, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations management within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in using process analysis tools, data visualization software, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement frameworks.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and familiarity with warehouse automation technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex ideas effectively.
