Sequel Youth Services – Pompano Youth Treatment Center is a licensed and academically accredited 24-bed residential treatment facility. The program specializes in treating adolescent males with substance abuse and/or behavioral disorders. The campus is located in Pompano Beach, FL.

The Job
We are seeking talented individuals to help drive the success of youth in our communities. As a Youth Care Worker, you will provide direct supervision to all adolescent males ages 13 -18. You will serve as a role model and provide support & structure to the residents in our care.

Daily Duties

Supervise residents in their daily routines providing rewards and consequences as prescribed by our behavior management system
Maintain routine order on dorm unit and during activities
Address group concerns according to Positive Peer Culture standards and elicit positive change for residents
Complete assessments, reviews and other documentation in a timely manner

Must Haves

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
Over the age of 21
Maturity, empathy and patience
Be special – Not everyone can do what we do
The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols
A minimum of one-year experience working with at risk youth in a juvenile setting or related setting
