The Route Representative serves as a professional ambassador of the company, delivering products safely, accurately, and on time while providing exceptional customer service. This role combines delivery execution with customer relationship management, ensuring a positive experience at every customer interaction. Route Representatives are expected to maintain professional standards, complete required training and certifications, and contribute to customer-facing excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
• Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies, monitored via in cab cameras
• Complete required safety training and certifications
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Properly wear required safety equipment, including company-issued safety vests
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
CUSTOMER SERVICE & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Serve as the primary company representative during customer deliveries
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Resolve basic customer concerns and escalate issues as appropriate
• Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and a customer-first mindset at all timesÂ
• Communicate effectively with customers, branch personnel, and management
DELIVERY OPERATIONS
• Manually load and unload products, ensuring safe handling and compliance with best practices
• Inspect loads and ensure products are properly secured during transport
• Acknowledge and verify manifests and other delivery-related paperwork
• Drive to destinations, deliver products accurately and on schedule
• Unload product and obtain signatures and payments as needed
• Properly document manifests and issue receipts for returned parts
• Maintain route efficiency and productivity standards
TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
• Successfully complete Route Representative training and certification requirements
• Participate in ongoing skill development and customer service training
• Demonstrate continuous improvement in delivery, safety, and customer service performance
• Support and mentor new team members when requested
PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE
• Maintain company-approved dress code and professional grooming standards
• Present a clean, professional image consistent with company expectations
• Represent the company positively in all customer-facing interactions
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School diploma (or equivalent)
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Ability to safely operate delivery vehiclesÂ
• Ability to maintain a Medical DOT card
• Previous delivery, transportation or route sales experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management/multi-tasking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business and environmental conditions
