What will you be doing?

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop, maintain, and improve installation and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals for our products. This role works closely with engineering, design, and project teams to translate technical information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technical drawings, structured content, and modern tools—including AI—to efficiently manage and generate documentation.

Some of your day-to-day tasks?

• Maintain and update existing installation and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals to reflect product changes, field feedback, and best practices
• Create new installation and O&M manuals for new products, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency
• Develop technical illustrations and diagrams using CAD or CAD-derived tools to support written instructions
• Gather information from engineering, design, manufacturing, and field personnel to ensure documentation is technically accurate and complete
• Organize and structure content for ease of use by installers, technicians, and end users
• Ensure documentation complies with internal standards, branding, and applicable codes or regulations
• Manage document revisions, version control, and release processes
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency in drafting, updating, and maintaining documentation, while ensuring technical accuracy and quality
• Continuously improve documentation processes, templates, and style guides

What do you need to be able to do?

 Required Qualifications

• Experience writing technical documentation, instruction manuals, or O&M manuals
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise instructions
• Familiarity with CAD software and the ability to generate or modify technical illustrations
• Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience creating installation or service manuals for engineered or manufactured products
• Working knowledge of CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Experience using AI tools to assist with content generation, editing, or document management
• Familiarity with document control, revision tracking, and structured documentation systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and technical subject-matter experts
