SUMMARY:
The Senior Addiction Therapist performs all of the functions of the Addiction Therapist, and in addition provides exemplary clinical care in support of people with severe substance use disorders and has achieved competencies in treating those who are at highest risk. The Senior Addiction Therapist is also responsible for leading other clinicians in their development of evidence based practices through mentoring and training as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides initial and ongoing assessment for clients in order to determine diagnosis and appropriate level of care. Provides individual, family and group counseling, which engages and motivates clients throughout treatment.
Develops treatment plans that are individualized and culturally sensitive.
Communicates with other care providers and referral sources to increase understanding of client problems and assets. Participates in professional supervision and education that supports continuous improvement of client care.
Completes required medical record documentation in a timely and comprehensive manner and in accordance with regulatory standards. Meets productivity requirements by utilizing various techniques to engage clients and minimize failed appointments.
Participates as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary team in coordination and delivery of patient care.
Provides supervision and training to interns.
Supports and demonstrates competency in person-centered care practices and workflows
Meets and exceeds productivity targets
Demonstrates sound clinical judgement and can work independently
Responsible for reviews and QHP signatures for various clinic workflows per OASAS scope of practice
Supports clinical and process training and onboarding for Addiction Therapists and Associate Addiction Therapists
Demonstrates competency the delivery more complex care, Co-occurring disorders, and high risk response and management
Facilitates group supervision
Team lead in debriefing groups, clinical support groups, and staffing meetings
Committed to continuous improvement and personal development
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Human Services field OR
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services fieldCASAC or OASAS QHP required

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
