Responsible for developing and documenting product testing and inspection procedures to ensure product meets customer standards. Identifies issues and works with individuals and teams to eliminate the root cause of the problem.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Observe and enforce compliance with all established safety rules and regulations
  • Monitor Plant Intelligence Center to manage and prioritize product quality issues and attend meetings as required.
  • Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal Wilbert personnel to ensure specifications and standards are met
  • Maintain and audit the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
  • Monitor and report customer satisfaction data. Analyze and document customer complaints and/or returns
  • Lead cross functional teams that employ root cause analysis and other techniques to identify and resolve problems
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and formulas
  • Perform testing of product and operational procedures
  • Evaluate data identifying non-conforming material and products
  • Record and analyze test data. Presents data using charts, graphs and reports
  • Recommends modifications to specs and standards to achieve optimum quality
  • Create and implement statistical control processes (as applicable)
  • Train associates on Standardized Work and SPC data recording and procedures (as applicable)
  • Receive, review, analyze and document customer complaints and/or returns
  • Manage all PPAP activity including organization and evaluation of gage R & R studies
  • Drive quality culture to maintain ISO/IATF certification, and favorable customer Quality ratings
  • Assist in the mentoring and development of Quality Technicians

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, Kaizen and other models
  • Experience in plastics industry preferred and with an automotive supplier preferred
  • All required WilbertU Courses based on job title

Preferred Skills

  • Proven customer communication experience and ability to always remain professional and courteous with customers
  • Strong technical skills and an understanding of statistics.
  • Expertise in quality management systems and PPAP documentation
  • Above average proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, database
  • Above average ability to create and present data using charts, graphs and reports
  • Skills to interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and formulas
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to work independently or within a group setting

Pay Range:

64,000.00 - 96,000.00
