About the Position
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a school-based team in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with educators and families to ensure academic and social-emotional success.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to students with varying disabilities
Develop and implement IEPs according to district and state guidelines
Adapt curriculum and modify instructional strategies to meet students needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school administrators
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions
Support classroom behavior plans and positive behavior interventions
Qualifications
Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, or equivalent)
Previous school-based teaching experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to support students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
