HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our surgery team. Ideal candidates will assure proper decontamination, quality assurance, sterilization of equipment and distribution of sterile surgical instrumentation to areas throughout the affiliate and outside service contracts to ensure quality patient care and safety.

Position Specifics:

• Schedule: Part time, 16 hours per week. Day shift, start time 7AM or 10AM

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience Qualifications
  • WI - 12 months experience as a Sterile Processing Technician I or comparable healthcare experience in nursing procedures, aseptic technique, medical terminology, and infection control is required.
  • IL – 18 months hospital sterile processing or related work experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is required.
