Temporary AssignmentThe Environmental Support Supervisor leads daily housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations to maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues. This role ensures regulatory compliance, implements infection prevention & control standards, and drives service excellence consistent with Trinity Health Senior Communities’ Mission and Values—especially Reverence, Commitment to the Poor and Underserved, Justice, Stewardship, and Integrity. The Supervisor plans work, trains and coaches team members, monitors quality, and partners across Nursing, Maintenance, and Dining to support resident‑centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Train, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and quality performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure high hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as needed to prevent shortages.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Address resident and staff concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Assist in developing and implementing housekeeping procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain a comfortable and safe living environment for residents.
- Handle employee performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or healthcare is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and infection control standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team with professionalism and respect.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
