Buyer – Copper & Brass Metals Division

Location: Southfield, MI (Hybrid)
Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 + Incentives

What You’ll Do

  • Support Sales & Contracts: Quote and assist with sales contracts.
  • Manage Purchasing: Convert requisitions into purchase orders and maintain inventory using our ERP system.
  • Optimize Supply Chain: Schedule materials to meet inventory objectives and manage supplier relationships.
  • Process Returns & Credits: Handle return purchase orders and enter credits/debits as needed.
  • Build Supplier Partnerships: Understand supply base capabilities, lead times, and costing.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Communicate effectively with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Drive Results: Align with corporate objectives like ROCE and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 1–2 years in purchasing (preferred).
    • Familiarity with SAP and BlueYonder (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of purchasing procedures and supplier capabilities.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
