Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 276-bed acute care facilityoffering specialized, tertiary services. SVBGHhas Magnet Status, serves as the regionās only Level III Trauma Center and is home to Sentara Heart Center, whichisthe portal to a sophisticated array of quality cardiac services with outcomes that surpass national standards. SVBGH is also one of only ten Advanced Primary Stroke Centersin Virginia certified by the Joint Commission. Other clinical services at this facility includeāÆPalliative Care Program, the Coastal Cancer Center, Diabetes Center, Orthopedics,Accredited Sleep Disorders Center, and an Inpatient Rehab Unit.Ā
Education
- Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
Certification/Licensure
- State RespiratoryĀ license
- NBRC RRT
- BLS required at time of hire.
- For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.
Experience
- None required
- 1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred
