About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Manager (Temp) at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of invoices, payments, and vendor transactions. This position requires strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the efficiency and accuracy of the division’s financial operations.
You will collaborate with AP clerks, the Finance team, and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to policies, smooth payment processes, and support for audits. This is a temporary, on-site role located in Wheatland, PA.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment, enjoys coaching and mentoring others, and has a keen eye for detail and process improvement.
What You’ll Do
• Coach and guide AP clerks in the processing of invoices and payments in SAP, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Review vendor master changes and bank detail updates to maintain accuracy and mitigate fraud risk.
• Manage Concur expense reporting, including user setup, credit card management, policy compliance, and reporting.
• Oversee payment processes including weekly check and ACH runs, blocked items, capital invoice approvals, and cash forecasting.
• Support audits and maintain documentation for AP subledger reconciliations, GRIR accounts, lease reconciliations, and utility tracking.
Who You Are
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in high-volume AP within a manufacturing environment.
• College diploma in Accounting or related field required.
• Proficient in SAP and spreadsheet software; strong knowledge of ERP systems and reporting platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrates leadership in coaching, mentoring, and guiding team members.
• Committed to health and safety work practices and maintaining predictable, full-time onsite attendance.
