We are seeking a highly experienced Projects Director to lead the delivery of a major £150m infrastructure project in Winchester, as part of a long-term joint venture framework.

The Role


Reporting to the Programme Director, you will oversee the end-to-end execution of the project—ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex construction programmes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Direct and coordinate all phases of project delivery

  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met

  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including JV partners, suppliers, and the client

  • Lead planning, forecasting, and risk management processes

  • Oversee commercial and contractual aspects, including NEC contracts

  • Champion project governance and continuous improvement

 

About You

 

  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction projects (ideally water industry)

  • Degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline

  • Project Management Qualification (e.g. APM PMQ)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Proven ability to drive performance in complex environments

 

Desirable

 

  • Chartered professional status

  • NEC Project Manager Accreditation

  • Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure
