A new opportunity has been created for a career minded IFA to join one of the UK’s largest Chartered Wealth Management Houses at their Aberdeen location.

This opportunity comes with a clear developmental path, initial and ongoing clients and a comprehensive succession plan.

Role Overview

  • Provide professional advice and solutions in accordance with FA regulations, adhering to group standards, processes, and procedures, providing the most suitable research for all clients
  • Generate new client opportunities through a combination of self-generated introductions, professional connections and existing clients.
  • Identify and provide new business opportunities across a broad range of financial planning needs, enabling clients to achieve their financial goals. Taking responsibility to maintain and expand client numbers, AUM, and revenue, through proactive and excellent service.
  • Gather, analyse, and document all information needed to provide financial advice in line with group standards
  • Research and analyse all suitable solutions available to meet the client’s needs
  • Keep client records up to date to be fully aware of client’s objectives/aims to make suitable recommendations.
  • Maintain a high level of regular client contact, providing advice where required and ensuring a strong client service to compliment the annual review service.
  • Achieve through a focus on service, growth, and intergenerational planning

Skills

  • Achievement and maintenance of CAS and be a minimum of level 4 diploma qualified (desired Chartered status or working towards)
  • Relevant and recent experience of working within a similar role within financial services
  • Be both servicing and growth focused to take over clients, build upon existing strong client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated by an ability to work with and communicate effectively across a wide range of client profiles.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills as well as a high attention to detail
  • Keeping up to date with changes that impact client’s financial situations, being able to interpret and to provide appropriate guidance and advice.
  • High levels of commercial awareness
  • Ability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
  • Strong knowledge of all financial planning with specific focus on holistic financial planning
