We are currently recruiting ad-hoc Chef's for our clients in Aberdeen.
This will be for temporary contracts - to cover holidays, sickness and provide cover for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Handle and prepare ingredients ensuring the highest quality and freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen tasks, including but not limited to, chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Uphold standards of food presentation and garnishing.
- Contribute creative ideas to menu development and special event planning.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a kitchen assistant, commis chef, or relevant role is required.
- Basic understanding of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
