Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with experience of designing DCS/PLC Control Panels with a focus on Functional Safety looking for an exciting opportunity to join a global enterprise that offers continued career progression, training and tailored development plans?

In this role you will be responsible for designing the hardware and wiring for bespoke distributed control systems (DCS) used in the automation of industrial processes throughout the manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, energy and oil & gas industries. Occasionally, perhaps once a month, you will go on-site to assist in the commissioning of the control systems. This could be on off-shore Rigs or throughout the UK.

This role would suit an Electrical Design Engineer with knowledge of DCS / PLC design looking for a hybrid role working for a globally recognised industry leader. The Role:

  • Designing distributed control systems used for industrial automation
  • Flexible hybrid working with up to 3 days at home per week
  • Travelling nationally and off-shore to assist with the commissioning of new systems, up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Visa Sponsorship available for suitable candidates

The Person:

  • Controls Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer or similar
  • PLC or DCS design knowledge
  • Understanding of Functional Safety or IEC61508/61511 certifications
  • Understanding of 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations
