Major Recruitment are delighted to be sourcing a Forklift Driver/Labourer on behalf of our established client, based in Dyce.
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Labourer. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within our facility, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to support our operational needs.
Hours: 37.5 a week (7am-3pm Mon to Fri) overtime a possibility as when operations require
Duties of the Forklift Driver/Labourer position:
- General housekeeping, assistance in organising the yard and workshop.
- Use of forklift to carry out these duties
- Cleaning up of stripped parts/equipment
- Preparation of materials/equipment for shipping
- Collection, tagging with project detail and storage in correct area of received parts
- A certain amount of manual labour will be involved day to day with the above tasks
- Current overhead crane training would be an advantage but not essential
Requirements for the Forklift Driver/Labourer position:
- Valid RTITB certificate (B1/B2) will be required for access to the forklift
- Proven experience as a forklift driver in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as needed.
