  • Cost Estimation: You use your extensive knowledge of building contracts to estimate costs, material quantities, and project timelines. This includes assessing the expenses associated with construction activities.
  • Budget Management: You work closely with project budgets, ensuring that expenses align with the allocated funds. Your goal is to optimise the balance between cost and quality.
  • Supplier and Contractor Selection: Based on project budgets and building requirements, you identify the best suppliers and contractors. Your decisions impact the overall success of the project.
  • Contract Negotiations: You negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. This involves ensuring favourable terms and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Financial Advice: You provide financial advice to project teams, helping them make informed decisions related to costs, investments, and financial risks.
  • Bills of Quantities: You prepare bills of quantities, which itemise the materials, labour, and other resources needed for construction. These documents are essential for accurate cost estimation.
  • Resource Management: You support the management of necessary resources (such as materials, equipment, and labour) throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Qualified through 10 years of experience surveying.
