Role: Refuse LoaderPay: £12.18 per hourLocation: AbergavennyHours: 37 hours per weekMonday - Thursday: 07:00 - 15:00, Friday, 07:00 - 14:30Pertemps are currently recruiting for a temporary refuse loader for a client based in Abergavenny working within their Neighbourhood services department for an immediate start.The Role:
  • To Ensure recycling and waste collections are undertaken in a professional, efficient, and safe manner, including, Food waste, Garden waste, Residual waste (Black bags), Hygiene waste, Dry recycling, Trade waste.
  • To collect waste from households and businesses as determined by the recycling and waste strategy.
  • To Ensure all collection are made on schedule.
  • To monitor contamination in recycling collections
  • To follow and comply with all Safe Working Practices, procedures and Health and Safety Policies.
  • To work at other depots when operational necessity demands it.
  • To report any incidents/concerns to your supervisor immediately
  • To ensure that all relevant paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety issues
  • Good communication skills
  • It is desirable for the post holder has a clean and current driving licence.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
