  • SCR is partnering with an IT Services and IT Consulting Business to supply an ICT Network Project Manager to support on onsite a critical and integral network project.
  • The project manager will be required to provide professional services for the Project delivery of VPN/APN solutions project and support the client with network connectivity and Datacentre network development.
  • Main Duties Undertaken include providing specialist advice, developing project plans, stakeholder management, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policy guidelines.

ICT Network Project Manager:

The project manager will be required to provide professional services for the Project delivery of VPN/APN solutions project and support the client with network connectivity and Datacentre network development.

Main Duties Undertaken.

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on complex issues related to area of work , Act as a recognised subject matter expert within own area. Generate and innovative solutions through the provision of expert knowledge and advice.
  • Author/develop Project Plans/Documentation sets in accordance with Project Board and Stakeholder requirements.
  • Stakeholder management both internal and external.
  • Identify risks and mitigate risks and inform others on risks, understand associated guidelines and legislation to mitigate risks. Manage risk management schedules to ensure the client meets its obligation concerning Health & Safety and escalate serious problems. Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulations and policy guidelines.
  • Finds more cost-effective ways to do things, taking an innovative approach to solving problems and considers radical alternatives.
  • Consult will all teams at all levels and make things clear and precise and able to communicate to colleagues actions and outcomes in a way that they are able to understand when technology may not be there first language.
  • Provide appropriate support and education to Projects and Stakeholders.
  • Attend technical briefings / seminars internal and external when applicable.
  • Produce / maintain up to date Project documentation with associated tasks and instruction guides for the designated Project technical leads.
  • Ensure that any issues which may affect your ongoing vetting are flagged to the Head of ICT or their representative.

Skills / Experience Required

  • Full Lifecycle Project Management
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Support for Bid Management & Proposals
  • Project Planning & Reporting
  • Data Center Rollouts
  • Experience in Agile & Waterfall Methodologies
  • Cisco Meraki, LAN, WAN, ACI Deployments/Migrations, Core Infrastructure, IP Telephony, Voice, Network & IT Infrastructure
  • Prince 2 Practitioner Certification
  • RAID Logs
  • Prince2 Practitioner
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified or suitable experience
  • ITIL Qualification or extensive commercial experience / processes.
  • Experience of managing a major project.
  • Experience in managing project staff and profiling financial budgets.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of current Health and Safety legislation and practices.
