We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and busy Electoral Services Team at South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils as additional support in the role of Electoral Services Officer.

You will primarily assist the Electoral Services Team Leader in organising and delivering elections and referendums and electoral registration. There will also be the opportunity to assist with reviews of polling places and polling districts and the Local Government Boundary Commission for England review of Vale of White Horse District Council. In this role you will be working closely with elected members, political party representatives and the public.

We are looking for someone who is a good team player has good customer services skills and excellent attention to detail, as well as an understanding of the importance of political sensitivity. The role will require the job holder to work from our offices in Abingdon on occasion and more frequently during the preparation and delivery of elections.

You will receive 25 days annual leave per annum (rising to 30 after 5 years service), bank holidays, plus an additional 3 Christmas closure days.
