Kenect Recruitment are seeking a skilled Fitter to work with our client based in Aldridge. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating commercial vehicle bodies and various components. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power and hand tools.

Responsibilities:

Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Measure and cut materials to the required dimensions
Assemble and fit components using various techniques
Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
Operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time

Skills:

Experience in working with various materials including GRP, plastics and metals
Ability to read and understand drawings, working to customer specifications
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment and machinery
Ability to use hand tools effectively

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a Fabricator/ Fitter or similar role preferred
Vocational qualification in relatable field is preferred
