Their busy management accounts team plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.Your new roleAs an Accounts Assistant, you will collaborate with a team of qualified and part-qualified Management Accountants. Your responsibilities will include preparing high-quality financial information from large datasets, maintaining meticulous records, and assisting with various financial tasks. Effective communication with both financial and non-financial team members is essential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Extract, analyse, and organise financial data to create accurate reports.
- Use Excel proficiently to manipulate and present data effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Participate in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and experience dealing with auditors is advantageous.
- Address any VAT-related queries or issues.
- Contribute to improving the tax compliance processes.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues across departments.
- Collaborate with financial and non-financial team members to achieve shared goals.
What you'll need to succeed
- Detail-oriented
- Highly competent in Excel.
- Experience with Management Accounts preparation
- Strong analytical skills to handle substantial amounts of financial data.
- Experience in audit or familiarity with audit procedures (desirable).
- Knowledge of VAT and tax regulations (preferred).
