This is a great opportunity for a Class 1 Tanker Driver who is looking for more than the A to B. Working with one of the leading chemical explosive manufacturers in Northern Europe, you’ll be part of the driving team by operating the safe handling, loading and unloading of explosive materials on site.  The client is a market leader whose service provision spans multiple channels and applications. In return for your commitment, they will provide you with the know-how and support so you’ll become an expert in your field.  As a Class 1 Tanker Driver, you can expect a salary between £35K - £38K (DOE). An excellent pension scheme (up to 10%), individual and company-based performance bonus, 25 days annual leave and access to specialist training and qualifications.  What the Class 1 Tanker Driver will do: 
  • Drive chemical products from the Alfreton Depot to storage depots across the UK
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of products supplied ensuring excellent attention to detail.
  • To report all near misses and accidents in line with Company procedures
  • Travel between different company sites delivering materials and equipment
  • Other ad-hoc duties relative to your role  
What the Class 1 Tanker Driver will need:
  • HGV Class 1 Licence
  • Tanker Experience (Ideal but not essential)
  • ADR (Ideal but not essential)
  • Self-motivation with the desire to be a team player
  • Willing to work unsociable hours.
