Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Package: £40 - 45,000 base plus private health, life assurance and ongoing training support / accreditation
We're looking for an assistant quantity surveyor to come and join a client side business, that are building telecoms fibre networks across the UK.
Assigned to some recent contract wins, supporting the build and delivery work the company are looking to recruit additional QS resource to ensure effective cost management of the contract partners and ensure smooth flow of payment applications.
We're looking for someone with excellent commercial acumen and a proven track record around either utility / telecoms / infrastructure projects.
Reporting to the commercial manager, you'll be focusing on the end to end service delivery, across build and installation and it's cost estimation, contract administration, financial reporting and risk management within a bespoke NEC based contract environment using CEMAR.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable post graduate quantity surveying experience in a similar position with a main contractor or client within telecoms, utilities or civils. This perhaps suits a graduate with 2 years hands on commercial experience although we'll keep an open mind as to exact background.
The company are stable, have had some good project wins in recent times and the commercial team is still growing and evolving, so you'll learn from experienced commercial leaders and have a fast track route through to a formal quantity surveying role and also, the chance to contribute to the structure of the team / group as this isn't a rigid delivery environment, more an agile team that will blend quality with the ability to pivot.
The role will work from home, will minimal travel to site and then occasional meetings with the rest of the commercial teams in one of the national project offices (Travel will all be via business expenses).
