The Client

Our client are a busy Altrincham based accountancy practice with a large portfolio of clients, they are looking to add an experienced Client Manager to their team.

The Role of Client Manager

• Managing a diverse client portfolio and overseeing the preparation of general accounting services for a varied client portfolio
• Oversight of preparation and submission of financial reports.
• Oversee the workflow for the wider team and take responsibility for the mentoring and coaching of junior staff and their continued professional development.
• Problem solving and communication with HMRC and other relevant third parties.
• Representing the firm at client-facing meetings and events.
• Presenting to the Partners at board meetings.
• All such other tasks as may be deemed appropriate to support the Partners and their portfolio.
• Proactively investigate and identify opportunities for the firm and clients and be confident in presenting and discussing them with the Partners.
• Represent the firm at business and networking events, developing contacts and relationships with new and prospective clients.

Skill & Experience Required for the Client Manager role

• ACCA/ICAEW qualified or equivalent or qualified by experience (Minimum 5 years practice experience).
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Current working knowledge of UK tax laws and accounting standards applicable to small business
• Strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems
