The School and Role

This EYFS, Primary, Secondary and Post-16 SEND school, based in Alnwick, Northumberland is looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Mentor to work in Key Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this EYFS, Primary, Secondary and Post-16 SEND school as part of an established team, the desired Learning Support Mentor will be working on a small group sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism, ADHD, communication & visual impairments, cognition needs, and social & emotional difficulties. This full time Learning Support Mentor role is long term from May ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children.
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • A passion for the progress of EYFS, Primary, Secondary and Post-16 students.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
