Store Manager - Cotswold Outdoor Ambleside

Location: Ambleside, Lake District

Salary: £29,000-£30,000 + up to £4,250 bonus

Hours: 40 hours per week | Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for a Store Manager to lead our flagship location in Ambleside, right in the heart of the Lake District. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a trusted and growing outdoor retail group with a loyal customer base and a passionate, knowledgeable team.

At Cotswold Outdoor, part of the Cotswold Outdoor Group alongside Runners Need and Snow+Rock, we offer a premium range of outdoor clothing, equipment, and services - all with a strong focus on sustainability and expert advice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating your team to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Managing all operational aspects of the store including stock, banking, and compliance
  • Driving performance through clear analysis of KPIs and metrics
  • Supporting the development and progression of your team
  • Recruiting and onboarding new team members with support from our People Team

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience running a store, including budget, planning and operations
  • Can lead a high-performing, customer-focused team
  • Brings energy, passion, and a love for the outdoors
  • Is confident in managing KPIs and driving commercial success

  • Salary of £29,000-£30,000 + up to £4,250 bonus
