Are you passionate about ensuring the safety of individuals facing domestic abuse? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join a fantastic organisation covering the Ammanford/ Powys area. You'll play a crucial role in securing safety for victims and their children.

Your role and responsibilities will include;

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for victims in crisis, assessing risk levels and developing tailored safety plans.
  • Implement proactive measures, including MARAC actions, to ensure immediate and long-term safety solutions.
  • Provide short- to medium-term support to promote lasting safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with specialist domestic abuse teams, keeping service users' safety paramount.
  • Achieve tangible improvements in safety through engagement with high-risk individuals.
  • Always embody the organisations values and model appropriate behaviours.

What we will need from you;

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in high-level domestic abuse support
  • Recognised IDVA qualification or willingness to attain one
  • Proficiency in relevant domestic abuse legislation
  • Experience working with adults at risk with complex needs
  • Possession of a full driving licence and access to a car
  • Understanding and empathy for the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, safety planning, and case management
  • Familiarity with child protection issues and legal obligations
  • Knowledge of confidentiality within domestic abuse and safeguarding contexts
  • Strong crisis management skills and resilience in challenging situations
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Maintaining personal and professional boundaries
